Grazie for encouraging me to come to class. I had so much fun and am
looking forward to studying with you!
Again thank you for teaching such a beautiful language! I've been wanting
to do this for a long time!
A Teacher Who Understands
After having taken Chelsea Hill’s Beginner’s Italian
Class last Spring, I was inspired enough to try living and going to the language school in 2 cities in Tuscany for about 2
months last Autumn. Once I had overcome my initial reaction to the Italian language and cultural shock, I was able to move
up to the intermediate level and start enjoying my life in Italy. Thank you very much, Chelsea, for sharing your knowledge
of Italian language and culture, and most of all, sharing your enthusiasm and love of the Italian language, the most difficult,
yet the most “magnificent and romantic language” of all! You have inspired me to reach for the impossible! Until I had taken language classes in Italy, I was not aware how important
it is to learn a language from the teacher who was once a student, having gone through the trials and tribulations in mastering
the language. It is a blessing to have a teacher who understands what we students have to go through in learning a foreign
language and who also helps us with her “learning tricks“ of mastering l’italiano. I may never be able to master the Italian language in my life time
or even my next. But, as people say “Happiness is found along the way, not at the end of the road”: I am happy
to continue studying Italian at Chelsea Hill School of Languages, finding happiness everyday as I struggle along the way.
mille, Chelsea! Mayumi L. Tsukano, Kihei

My two-cents worth re Chelsea Hill School of Languages
Now that Chelsea Hill has a web site, I'd like to add my two-cents worth. I feel very fortunate to have been studying
Italian at Chelsea¹s school in Haiku for the last two years. I can sum up my experience in just one word: FUN!
Chelsea¹s enthusiasm for language is contagious. She is fluent in three languages, Italian, French, and English,
and her school also offers classes in other languages. Chelsea works very hard to arrange convenient class times for all her
students, and is always available on line, if you get stuck on the homework. She teaches practical conversation skills as
well as focusing on grammar. If your goal is to learn just enough language to get by when you travel, or to really understand
the language of your choice, Chelsea Hill is the way to go.
